Shalise Steele-Young continues on the campaign trail to announce her intention to fill her late husband, Ivory Lee Young, Jr's seat on Atlanta City Council. Mrs. Young receives a warm reception from guests as she shares her vision for the community and completing the mission her husband began over his last four terms in service to his beloved District 3. Mrs. Young listened intently as constituents expressed their concerns within the community and were excited to hear her views on education, economic development and legacy and historic preservation for District 3. Mrs. Young must declare her intention to run for her husband's vacated seat on January 23, 2019 for the special election on March 23, 2019.

During the event Mrs. Young stated she would continue the unfinished work her husband started in District 3 by listening to constituents concerns, make a list of goals and working hand in hand with the community to achieve positive outcomes. Mrs. Young must complete her letter of intent and submit it to City Hall on January 23, 2019 for the special election on March 19, 2019. During the event Mrs. Young helped children select their toys from the large selection of donations displayed.
